Instructions:

Download the program.
Run the program.

Donate via paypal and PASTE the confirmation number of your donation.
The transaction id should work after a minute from your donation.

The code will work only on the PC you run the program.
This program works only with Huawei E585.

Send me an email if you need an unlimited version.
(Unlimited number of unlocks)

Note:
If the program says "Connect card." that means that E585 drivers
are not installed correctly.
Remove any "wifi manager" and old drivers,
then reinstall E585 drivers from it's virtual cdrom.

Please be sure that you have run "autorun.exe" which should have
appeared in a pop-up window when you first inserted the Mifi.  This is
required to install all the drivers that are needed for the
modification.  If you have not done this
you may see a message "Connect card."

You also have to switch it ON pressing
the button on the right side of the E585.

  1. Fantastic program. Super quick emailing of code and even quicker unlock. Worked like a dream on my now unlocked e585 MiFi!
Thank you Zibri - you are a guru. Donate to this man - he deserves it!

  2. Hello Zibri!
I'm having a bit of trouble extracting the .zip file. Also, what is this "code" you refer to? Will it be obvious when I encounter it? Any help in sorting this out would be greatly appreciated!

    Terence

    ReplyDelete
  3. It's a normal zip file.
Yes the code appears as soon as you run the program and puts itself into the clipboard.

Try to redownload it from the mirror.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Not to worry! Got it sorted. I believe there was something wrong with the first pc I used.
Definitely worth donating for this! Quick response with the code and an extremely simple process! Thanks Zibri!

    ReplyDelete
  5. Couldn't be simpler! Worth every penny and gonna save me a fortune in Greece next week!

    ReplyDelete
  6. Thanks Zibri!

Took two attempts, but is now working perfectly!

    Worth every penny!

    Chris

  8. zibri i m getting difficulty when i try donate.

    help me.

    skype id shoeblsc

    ReplyDelete
  9. Si' dove ti pare! Comunque sono di Roma anche io :P

    ReplyDelete
  10. NOTE: after unlocking, if you put a different SIM in the E5, you must SETUP a profile in the web interface.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Worked like a charm. (Being paranoid) I did it all from within a sandboxed VMWare Virtual machine running XP. AVG throws up a (probably false) alert due to the protected code. No problems at all. Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  12. Yes, antivirus don't like protected software, but there is NO VIRUS.

    It's a false positive.

    No need for virtual machines.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Can you tell me how long it take to get the code after donation? Looking forward to results!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Hi, I would like to know does the code only work on one E585? I have 2 E585 this moment, do I need to donate twice to unlock both of them ?

    Thank you:)

    ReplyDelete
  15. You *should* donate twice, but it works.

    ReplyDelete
  16. @Christopher: Instantly (if I'm awake and at home). A few hours if I'm sleeping or out :)

    ReplyDelete
  17. Just received my code in about 15 minutes, all worked fine. thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Eheheh sometimes I'm faster.. but today I'm coding :)

    ReplyDelete
  19. unlocked perfectly - but trying to set it up with a voda sim in it is proving difficult - it looks as though you need the 3 sim working in it first to be able to access the settings. does Mobile Partner work with it? thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Wow, quick, simple and brilliant. Donate today, you won't regret it :p

    ReplyDelete
  21. Awesome work, I donated and unlocked my device, works great.

However ... about that telnet enabler... :)

I'm very interested in having a poke around, I noticed in the documentation that you can get the source code on CD under the GPL, busybox was mentioned.

The Novatel device has an SDK that lets you add your own widgets in, it comes with a GPS to let you do stuff like local weather... Im hoping that the homepage could be customized..

    ReplyDelete
  22. Send me the novatel device then :)

    ReplyDelete
  23. Oh, I dont think the novatel device is out yet..

    http://tinyurl.com/y9v3dcg

I was more hoping for a telnetd for the E585 so I could poke around the file system and see what goodies are in there :)

    ReplyDelete
  24. Well, about telnetd, it's already there and running. But iptables is filtering port 23.

I already got access (read/write) to the internal filesystem (using a bug in the web interface) but I didn't yet find an injection vector to execute code. I need to change a file permission to get full access.

I'll have a look at it in the next days..

    ReplyDelete
  25. @nick8718, I was having trouble with my Vodafone sim too but it's now working fine after changing the Authentication setting to "CHAP".

    ReplyDelete
  26. did the donation but it says "wrong Code" in box.

    ReplyDelete
  27. @Jeff: because you donated using e-check. E-check clears out in 3-5- business days. So when it will be authorized, your code will work.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Thanks Zibri, another excellent unlock. Worked flawlessly despite my unecessarily complicated Win7-inside-a-VM-on-top-of-Mac-OS-X setup. Very fast response to the donation too.

    ReplyDelete
  29. excellent ! unlocked ... quick and easy. THX

    ReplyDelete
  30. Very quick response with code and works well. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  31. very happy, It could not be any easier. All you have to do is switch on connect the mifi to the pc, click on the unlockE585_v2.exe and put in the donation code, then wait for a few minutes until the windows closes and your mifi is unlocked. Just remember to set up a new profile i.e for vodafone APN = internet, user name = web & password = web. i unlocked my Mifi within 5 minutes of donating.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Error 'Unable to open COM5'; Can anyone help?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Wrong driver installation.

Run "autorun.exe" on the "virtual cdrom" of the e585 and install drivers.

Uninstall "3 wifi manager" or any other program using the com port.

    Reboot the PC.
    Try again.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Cheers Zibri. Worked a treat on my E585. Just as well - I went out to buy it today with the sole intention of unlocking it to use with my Vodafone dongle SIM!

Had a few problems, first with it saying com port 4 busy, and then another one saying 'unable to write...', but third time it worked like a dream.

    Thanks for your hardwork!

    ReplyDelete
  35. @ Ted: I'm glad to hear that! Unfortunately it's windows (or some windows processes) which use the com ports and my program fails. All programs must be shutdown and a computer reboot it's best.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Fantastic, many thanks. What a great service!
    Keep up the good work!
    Paul

    ReplyDelete
  37. @zibri any idea what is that R in square logo is for? I've not seen that one on my device.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Would be nice if there were a Linux or MacOS X version, though I won't complain much, as it worked.

Any reasons you launch Internet Explorer instead of the default web browser?

    ReplyDelete
  39. Well.. I allowed the program to run inside virtual machines :)

No reason, I used a routine that I thought launched the default browser, instead it launches ie... no harm since ie is on every windows pc :)

    ReplyDelete
  40. Hi,Zibri
This program works perfect! Thank you:)

btw, do you know how to turn off wifi if I just want to use it as a usb modem?

    Thank you very much:)

    ReplyDelete
  41. @ Lily: there is no normal way to do it.

On the E585 wifi auto shutdowns after 30 minutes (!) I could make a utility to turn on and off wifi but that's not my top priority at the moment.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Hi, thanks for your respond:)

so only E5830 is able to do it?

I read the user guide about E585, it only mentions when you turn it on, it will automatic turn on the wifi function(but does not mention how to turn it off)

    anyway,thank for your help:)

    ReplyDelete
  43. Thanks bro? Its work..Bravo..Bagus

    ReplyDelete
  44. Getting a virus warning when I try and download the program, warning me that it contains the "Trj/Thed.A" virus.

    ReplyDelete
  45. If you downloaded it from THIS BLOG, don't worry, it's a false positive! That's because the program is protected.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I donated from a VMWare machine but just found out that the e585 drivers keep crashing my version of vmware. Can I still use my transaction ID on my real windows machine (ie can i use the transaction code once) or is the transaction code locked to that specific windows install?

    ReplyDelete
  47. Jamie: the code is locked to the machine the program was run to donate.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Is there any way I can get the code unlocked to my real machine? I've managed to install the e585 drivers on that

    ReplyDelete
  49. Donate again, then send me an email.

    ReplyDelete
  50. i don't have a rapidshare account, how do i download this ?

    ReplyDelete
  51. @ Kaushal:

You don't need one! Just select FREE USER in rapidshare.

    ReplyDelete
  52. STOP ASKING for CODES!

The code to enter is the CONFIRMATION code in your paypal receipt. Click details. It's made of 17 alphanumeric digits (it's not the one with the dashes).

    RTFM! :)

    ReplyDelete
  53. Working absolutely fine for me with my new E585 bought a couple of days ago. I am now using my contract Voda SIM in the E585. I did have to run the program twice (with the same transaction id) after yanking the cable too soon the first time (too impatient). Big thanks to Zibri for this fantastic work and for helping me out via email.

    ReplyDelete
  54. how much donation do we need to make for getting it unlocked?

    ReplyDelete
  55. Run the program! The program will open a browser on paypal automatically.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I am not sure about this statement "The code will work only on the PC you run the program."

After unlocking, can I use the router with any number of wifi devices, e.g. ipad, other notebooks with wifi, etc.?

    ReplyDelete
  57. @ Europa: It means MY PROGRAM (the unlocker) will only run on the computer you used to donate.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Problem, it pops up with Can't connect through COM12. Dongle appears to be connected through COM14

    ReplyDelete
  59. @ Julian: disconnect any other 3g card and uninstall drivers .. then do a clean driver install.. There must be something wrong in your system :( (contact my by email if you still have problems)

    ReplyDelete
  60. Hi just unlocked the E585 thanks, is there any way of changing the code that the MIFI display to say T-Mobile instead of code scrolling back and forth?

    ReplyDelete
  61. Unfortunately that will need a firmware upgrade, but it's a cosmetic bug of the present firmware.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Has anyone figured out how to raise the max connection of 5 users, This would be a great fix.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I could possibly do it.. but it's a useless fix. The E5 has only 29mb of RAM and a 528mhz CPU actually clocked at 384mhz. More than 5 connections (think of emule) could even be more than it can handle. And since it's 5 concurrent sessions, I don't think there is much people needing more.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Hi,
Can anyone help with connecting to my Vodafone UK pay monthly mobile broadband sim please? I unlocked and it sees the Voda sim but does not connect. What do I need for profile?

    ReplyDelete
  65. APN: internet user: web pass: web

    or

    APN:pp.vodafone.co.uk user: web pass: web

    ReplyDelete
  66. Thanks Zibri,
    APN: internet
    user: web
    pass: web
    worked for me :)

    ReplyDelete
  67. I've just bought your programme. Many thanks for this service. I'm trying to run it on Parallels Desktop 4 on a Mac. (I told the system to connect the Huawei to the VM when asked) - it's connected via USB.

Upon entering the code, I got the message "Connect Card". I wasn't able to get an autoexec.bat to run and see no virtual CD-ROM from the Huawei in my list of drives in the Virtual XP.

    Any pointers would be appreciated.

    ReplyDelete
  68. You get Connect card because drivers are not installed.

    It's not auoexec.bat but AUTORUN.EXE...

When you connect the E585 you should see a new cdrom. If you don't then you must setup something in parallels. I can't help you with that but I know someone made it work.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Wow Zibri, I'm impressed with how quickly you responded. Sorry, I meant .exe, but I still have memories of MS-DOS programming from the 80s that is proving hard to erase. :-)

I see the CD-ROM when I connect via USB to Mac, but not when I connect it to Parallels. I will carry on digging and report back.

    ReplyDelete
  70. eheheh I have too a dirty msdos conscience :)
more than once I answered support question and I wrote autoexec.bat instead of autorun.exe so I had what we call "a tail of straw" :)

    ReplyDelete
  71. i need drivers to get my e585 to work on my pc. At present XP won't install the Virtual CD nor install any drivers. Can anyone upload some for me to download. Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  72. Unlocked perfectly. Thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Finally OK via a Macbook pro! Many thanks to Zibri for the help.
I had lots of problems because of VirtualBox: inside it the card never installed fully in either XP or WIN 7 virtual machines (always problems with rdnis communication install) so the unlocker was not able to see the card. I tried several time to reinstall etc but only got many freezes in the VirtualBox and even crashes of the mac. At the end I resorted to BootCamp and therefore a dual boot with win 7 on a separate partition. This time the installation went smoothly and the card was seen w/o errors. To unlock do not forget to disable the firewall (or give full access to the unlocker) otherwise you get a "socket error". You must also be connected to internet for the unlocker to work. It did it quickly and now I am happily connected with two macs and a wifi only Ipad :-)
Two further hints for others: in the virtual machines you have to define the card as a USB filtered device toward the virtual machine (i.e. give control of it to the virtual machine overriding the mac os); this in virtualbox is done under settings). The XP drivers can be found not on the card but in the new folder (in a subfolder of drivers within it) that autorun.exe creates. Good luck!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Great post, roberto!
At least someone knows computers :)

    ReplyDelete
  75. Hello Zibri,

After unlocking using your method, can I have a different 'Connection number' (i.e. default - *99#, to *99***1#) when setting up New Profile?

    Many thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  76. That has nothing to do with the "unlock method". :)

Anyhow.. I don't know it it can be changed.

Usually *99# dials the default profile. with ***1 or ***2 you usually dial the first or second profile.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Hello the unlock seemd to have worked, but now i always have a large number in the Display. I already set an new Mobile Profile but it won't change. The Provider should be t-mobile. If i load factory defaults will the unlock still be there? and after a firmware upgrade?
Most important would be to get the Number removed.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Please READ the comments before posting a new question. That is a know firmware bug and happens only on t-mobile. Yes. Unlock is permanent. To connect to a different provider you need however to setup a new profile.

    ReplyDelete
  79. For those not so literate as Roberto, can you give instructions for what to do on a Mac to unlock?

    ReplyDelete
  80. Sorry, no. Even with a virtual machine you must be *very* literate to do it :)

    ReplyDelete
  81. How long does it take to get an activation code? I bought one this morning and have not received anything yet

    ReplyDelete
  82. d_mini: it's immediate! The code is the PAYPAL confirmation code. (not the receipt id)

    ReplyDelete
  83. Zibri, i have donated but after waiting the confirmation ID isnt working paypal gave me, i just get Wrong Code.

Many Thanks for all your hard work

    Martin

    ReplyDelete
  84. Martin: thank you for donating, but to use the unlocker you must purchase it from the paypal page the unlocker opens.

The you will use the paypal confirmation code to use my program.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Hi Zibri, can you confirm once unlocked, can the E585 be used outside the UK with a sim bought abroad? many thanks..

    ReplyDelete
  86. I have Windows 7 Prof. (x64 = 64-bit). Can I use your programm to unlock the E585 from a original Three-Shop in UK ?

    ReplyDelete
  87. Yes. Windows 7 64 bit has some problems with the e585 drivers (not my fault) and often it doesn't install them.. but it should work.. if not, contact me by email and we will solve it somehow :)

    ReplyDelete
  88. Hi Zibri, I have successfully unlocked the E585 and using it with a sim from a local operator in Brazil

    ReplyDelete
  89. OK - so I finally found a friend with a windows laptop...and it all worked a treat! Many thanks!
There was a slight panic, however, till I discovered that I had to get into the 3MobileWiFi site and change my settings from "3 only" to "3 prefered"....Wish all progs worked as easy as yours!

    ReplyDelete
  90. Once unlocked if I was to press the reset button would it still be unlocked? Does anyone know if pressing the reset button removes additional APN settings.
Why these questions you may ask. I set it to WPA2 only. My laptop is dead and the one I am using at the moment cannot do WPA2.

    ReplyDelete
  91. You can do whatever you want.
Once unlocked it stays unlocked forever.

    ReplyDelete
  92. How much is the donation please?

    ReplyDelete
  93. Run the program. It will tell you :)

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  95. Devi configurare l'apn e tutto tramite l'interfaccia web dell'e585

    ReplyDelete
  96. Simon: run my program and you will see...

    ReplyDelete
  97. @dmobile.virgin: the program and the code are working. Connect card means wrong driver installation or unsupported card. Australian e585 are NOT supported.

    ReplyDelete
  98. 100% recommend, bought the mifi unit after seeing this page on web in store. Had to travel next day, posting this message on unlocked unit. All hail Zibri! I am ANOTHER satisfied charitable donator.

    ReplyDelete
  99. The unlock worked like charm on my second attempt. First one failed as (I think) I attempted it with a new SIM. After running the program for the second time (after second donation) with "home" SIM (that is the original one from 3, from which I bought the modem) the unlock worked in an instant. Well done, Zibri. I hope I can get the refund for the first unsuccessful donation ?

    ReplyDelete
  100. Works a treat on Mac OS X Snow leopard running XP on parallels. Made a donation to the top of this page first by accident - still worth it

    ReplyDelete
  101. If you bought your e585 from 3 in the UK as Pay-as-you-go they will give you an unlock code for £15. However it took me several days and 3 long phones to their customer services to get it.

I imagine Zibri's solution is cheaper and faster.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Unlock worked a treat thanks, excellent value... just need to work out how to change the settings in my 3 dashboard!

    ReplyDelete
  103. @Bob: login to the web interface using "Admin" as password...

    ReplyDelete
  104. I have an "unlocked" Huawaei E585 but won't work with T-Mobile sim from my blackberry. Keeps connecting and disconnecting as well as the stuff mentioned earlier about long lists of numbers and codes - won't secure an internet connection. Will your software work on an already unlocked unit?

    ReplyDelete
  105. @Chris: DAMN! Take a moment to read all comments before posting a new one. You need to create a profile for the new sim provider.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Hi Zibri, going to Italy tomorrow. Will buy an Italian sim from 3 to use in unlocked E585. Will I need to create a new profile to get it to work?? Greg

    ReplyDelete
  107. Yes, you do. You must create a profile for TRE italy..

    ReplyDelete
  108. Hi Zibri, just wondering if your program can unlock the E585 of Three in Australia. Thanks. Don

    ReplyDelete
  109. Thank you. Works perfectly on the UK vodafone network. Can't recommend your work any more highly. Brilliant.

    ReplyDelete
  110. dear all ,

is there any knew the follow provider? could give me some suggestions? i want to order from them ,but i dont know whether trustful.

  111. Hi Zibri,

under Win7 64bit I get always "A monitor porgram has been found running in your system. Please, unload it from memory and restart your program."
I shut down Sysinternals Process Explorer and disabled the real time protection from Security Essentials - but it does not help.
    Any idea?
Which "monitor program" has been found?

(and btw: such kind of error messages do not look really trustworthy...)

    ReplyDelete
  112. Run the program after a reboot. Even if you close those program, my unlocker will know >:)

    ReplyDelete
  113. hey mate,

just wondering if this unlocker works for the Australian "3" network.

or does it work happily for all the "3" networks

    ReplyDelete
  114. It works for 3UK e585 (for now).. Soon it will also support the australian e585.

By the way, Can't you read at the TOP of THIS PAGE?

    ReplyDelete
  115. Sorry worked at 3rd attempt my fault and fine on Vodaphone. Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  116. Awesome! Thought about doing it myself but gave up and decided to pay. Well worth it for speed and knowing you're not going to brick it! Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  117. This product is excellent and so easy to use, I have now got my E585 unlocked so I can use it on Vodafone pay as you go. Brilliant thanks

    ReplyDelete
  118. Hi! Is there any other way I can download this? Everytime the download is about to be finshed i get an error message saying that the source file cannot be read?

    ReplyDelete
  119. @ Martin: you're the only one with this problem..
    Click on "mirror" link.

    ReplyDelete
  120. when I run the program, it keeps on saying "unlocking", and the mifi indicate "No Network". Any solution?

    ReplyDelete
  121. NO NETWORK means the card is UNLOCKED.
But the card can't find a network for some reason.
That has nothing to do with the unlock.
It the card is not unlocked it says "wrong sim".

    ReplyDelete
  122. Is the Australian E585 working yet?

    ReplyDelete
  123. Hi,

Problem with 3G Only now sorted, you have to disconnect first before you can change to 3g prefered.

Still getting the problem with the random letters and numbers though - Any ideas...?

    Jon

    ReplyDelete
  124. Yes.. the I unlocked one.. but I have to code the new program..

    ReplyDelete
  125. Hi, does your program unlock UK E585? Thanks, Paul

    ReplyDelete
  126. Is there an eta on the new version of your program to unlock the Aussie E585? I'm heading overseas in a couple of days and desperately want to unlock it before I do.
    thanks

    ReplyDelete
  127. Thers is not even an alpha at the moment... but I will code it soon.. promise..

    ReplyDelete
  128. hello, i'm from spain, and i want to know if i unlock using this method, do i will be able to use it with a spanish company, i mean without roaming.

    thank you

    ReplyDelete
  129. Sure! That's the purpose... obviously you must put a spanish sim inside and unlock it with my program. Then you must setup a new profile for the new sim and you're set!

    ReplyDelete
  130. Program is great if you read the instructions first...unlike me :-(

Thanks Zibri for fantastic customer service.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Just wanted to say thanks! Worked like a charm (running MacBook Pro with Parallels and XP). Connected up straight to my Orange contract sim with no issues at all! The donation is definitely worth it! Anychance of a debrand for your next trick?

    ReplyDelete
  132. Hi Zibri, will this unlocked device be able to work with local US networks without roaming? Eg. sprint, verizon etc. Will this also work in Asia too? I travel between US and Asia and want to make sure that i can use it in both regions. Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  133. It depends on the 3g hsdpa coverage I don't know.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Hey there - just unlocked, thanks! Wanting to use the E585 with AT&T but no luck configuring the profile. Using:

    APN: isp.cingular.com
    User: ISP@CINGULARISP.COM
    Pass: CINGULAR1
    Authentication: CHAP

No luck so far, any advice?

    ReplyDelete
  135. @jim: sorry, no... I'm european :|

Once the card is unlocked it's a matter of provider and antenna.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Hi,

I have just made a donation via paypal, and inserted the 17 digit code as requested. A box popped up to confirm it had unlocked, but I am now unsure what I need to do to enable me to use an alternative network to 3.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Many thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  137. You must setup a new profile for the new sim/provider.

    Read previous comments.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Hi, I donated and when and how I can get the confirmation No? Comming per e-mail?
    Regards,

    ReplyDelete
  139. No. the confirmation code is generated by Paypal and it's in your receipt. It's not the numbers with dashes code.

  141. Hi, I just wanted to know can this device be unlocked if it's currently locked to the vodafone network? or does it have to be locked to the three network to be able to unlock it?

    Thanks.

  142. Vodafone australia unlock is coming soon.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Hey Zib, how soon do you anticipate the Unlock for the Vodafone OZ ??

    ReplyDelete
  144. I don't know.. it's ready when and if it will be.

I'll keep you all posted on this blog.

Unfortunately my dog died yesterday. In 10 days cancer took her off of me. I feel terrible.

  145. Thanks for all the help - works great, with my 3-Mobile, T-Mobile and Vodafone SIMs - perfect!

    ReplyDelete
  146. Sorry to hear about your dog.

So does the update in your headline mean you have no plans to code up an Australian unlocker?

    ReplyDelete
  147. @Paul:

To say the truth, I unlocked TWO australian e585.
It is possible but the procedure is very technical and very difficult for me to automate in a self contained idiot-proof program.

I don't want either to disclose the method.. so I'm stuck at the moment...

  148. Worked like a charm.. Thanks.. and was able to configure my Vodafone SIM on the MIFI.. amazing..

  149. Hi Zibri,

my unlocking code did work :(
i tried also to send you an email regarding unlimited version(actually i have 6 Nos. of E585s)and it was bounced back (blocked).
    any suggestions !!

Thanks in advance for the help.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Bounced?
When purchasing a code my email is visible.
Use that email. It can't bounce.

  151. Any news about the Australian one?

    Thank you

  152. Hi,

I just received a new Huawei E583C, sold as a "T-Mobile Wireless Pointer" in the UK. T-Mobile won't unlock it for three months and didn't even have the procedures and tools ready yet, but this little utility unlocked it on the second attempt without issue. The first one was spoilt by some old connection manager popping up.

    Thanks!
    Nils.

  154. @rg wrong procedure. you must purchase the code from the application itself. The code generation is automatic in that way. I have no control over it. Send me an email if you have problems.

  155. Ciao Zibri
I have a Vodafone (Australia) E585 - so this is now OK to unlock, right?
    PS ma sei Italiano?

    ReplyDelete

I know of this stupid bug and I will solve it in the next version.
For now, please use another pc or temporarily revert to ie8 .. sorry for that.

  163. Thank you for your information. Do you know anyone who successfully unlocked and used HUAWEI E585 with Rogers Canada?

  164. My program should work with ANY model.

Please download VERSION 4 and try it.

With the same code you can also try version 2.

Write me an email.. and I'll offer you support for this if needed.

  165. Hi, just to say thanks - I seem to have unlocked a 3 EIRE E585 successfully.

I say 'seem to' only because I did receive an error of 'PurgeComm function failed on COM3' and hence it never actually completed - but testing with a UK 02 sim, it registers onto O2 IRL OK, so I guess it worked!

    Thanks :)

    ReplyDelete
  166. Yep.. some glitches may happen if you kept the SIM inside while unlocking.
That's why I suggest to do the procedure without a sim.

    ReplyDelete
  167. Absolutely fantastic!!
Been struggling for over an hour, failing to unlock my E585. One email to Zibri, which he replied to within 10minutes, and it turned out I've been using V2 instead of V4 of the software.

Downloaded V4 and my modem was unlocked within 5minutes!

I'm sure there's other places online that will unlock, maybe cheaper, but this has to be the easiest (just get the right installer) and best guy to deal with!

    Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  168. Yep.. V2 and V4 are for the 2 different firmware versions of the 3UK E585.

Thanks for your kind message. Lately people write me only to complain (and it's their faul most of the time)

  169. Hi Zibri,

Thanks for your great code and prompt Responses.
I was able to unlock my Pocket Wifi which was locked to Vodafone Au.

Meanwhile, has anyone tried connecting to Telstra NW? Do you notice "[R]" sysmbol at the Bottom Right of the Wifi, which indicates Roaming, but I am connecting localy in Melbourne. Also it shows I have connected to "3" network. When I configured the APN I had to check the box which says " connect even when Roaming". Has anyone managed to fix this issue?
No issues when I connect to Optus though.

  170. Unlocked fine, but having trouble with a profile for AH Mobiel in the Netherlands? Tried what I thought was right but doesn't work. Any help would be appreciated..

    ReplyDelete
  171. You must create a new profile then set it as default.

    ReplyDelete
  172. I know about creating a profile but I'm not too sure what to put in it. I found a website giving these settings..

I put the relevant ones into the profile, but I can't get it to work.. I'll have another go as I'm obviously doing it wrong!

    ReplyDelete
  173. Sorry.. I can't help you with that... Once put the right settings the card will work.
When not unlocked it says "Wrong Sim".

Hi Sunil. Yes I have this issue using a Telstra SIM too, although I bought my E585 unlocked from eBay. The only way I could get it to connect was to check the "automatically connect even if roaming" checkbox. I don't have a solution. Telstra are useless, of course. Now I wonder if my charges will be "roaming" style (ie. huge) even though I'm in Melbourne. How are your Telstra bills going?

  175. Hi Zibri
    Today I bought a E585 in a 3 store in England
Just wanted to elicit from him and have the program loaded down
but there comes a error message
    and a virus information
    tuen what I do?

    ReplyDelete
  176. There is NO virus. It's a false positive because the program is protected.

    Disable all anti-viruses and firewall.
    Run as Administrator.

Greetings from Oz. Downloaded the E585 programme, but where does one get the code? I gather it comes from an email response from paypal, but where can I find out your donation fee?

Ran the programme, it comes up with an entry field with notation saying enter code, BUY or BUY FOREVER

Can't enter code, 'cause I don't have one, and entering BUY attempts to open paypal, but since there is no sim in the device, as per your instructions, I can't access the 'net.

I know I can be a noob, but any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers

  178. To USE the unlocker your pc MUST be connected to the internet using a DIFFERENT connection. (Like an ethernet cable and a router).

  182. Yes: probably you didn't install the SERIAL DRIVERS (tehy are inside the embedded fake cdrom that appears in device manager after connecting the card)

    OR:
you are running in a virtual machine and you didn't configure the USB passthru correctly.

  184. Just unlocked my Australian E585. Two attempts and all good.
    Just a few things:
Would not work on my laptop running Win 7 ultimate 64bit. Program came up with an exception error.
Ran fine on my PC running same OS. Make sure of the following - Drivers are installed properly & follow the instructions to a 'T' provided in the download zip. Thanks Zibri!

  185. Could you please tell me the differences of the two pcs?
I also have windows 7 64 and I had no problems as many other customers. I wonder what causes that on your pc.

  186. Hi. I donated, got the confirmation code and tried it. After 'Initiating' I get a 'network not available' or similar. I was disconnected from the internet, as I am using another Huawei device (E1552) for that, so I had disconnected that to avoid conflicts. Now when I try again while connected to the internet, I get a 'code already used' even though the device remains locked. Any advice?

    ReplyDelete
  187. Yes, one: read the included instructions :)

  188. Hi Zibri got the card unlocked ok but cant connect to the internet saying local access only have I done something wrong?

Powerline Ethernet fun and secrets.

Many 200 Mb/s powerline adapters nowadays are based on the INTELLON 6300 chipset.
Despite what can be thought looking at them, they are all using the same hardware and firmwares.
I heard many people with Netgear XAV101 or Linksys PLK 200 or PLE 200 having problems after firmware updates and many other people with other brands having much more problems because of lack of support or configuration/upgrade utilities.

So let me explain a few things I learnt studying them.

Many of 200 Mb/s powerline ethernet adapters follow the "HomePlug AV" standard. (85 Mb adapters use HomePlug 1.0 standard which is completely different).
This standard uses ethernet broadcast packets using the HomePlug AV protocol.

The interesting thing is that their firmware is made of two different parts:
a .PIB file (Parameter Information Block) and a .NVM file (the code itself).
In the P.I.B. there are many interesting things:
The branding (mac address, device name, etc) and the tone map.

I tested many firmw…

TP-LINK Configuration file encrypt and decrypt.

Here we go! TP-Link is another company that thinks that security by obscurity could ever work.
If you "backup" the configuration from most TP-Link routers, you will get a .BIN file which is "encrypted".
Use this utility below, to decrypt it (so you can edit it) and encrypt it again.
Have fun.

Hello again, sweet readers !
OpenRG is an embedded OS for routers. It's based on Linux and it's inside many ISP routers out there.
Inside OpenRG configuration file, passwords appear in a way that can seem to be crypted, but it's just obfuscated.
For example: (username(admin)) (password(&b7;X&5c;&b9;&a2;))
Above you can see a simple deobfuscator. Enjoy!
You can try it with: &ad;Y&5b;&b3;&a3;&17;T&8b;&c4;&b9;#&96;&04;c&ea;&1d;$%&5d;&16;&08;B3&c0;
